With panoramic views over beautiful Loch Avich, Kilmun provides a tranquil, relaxing base from which to explore the stunning countryside of Argyll. Wi-Fi has just been installed so you can enjoy escaping from the crowds, yet still stay in touch with the outside world - if you want to! Comfortably furnished, Kilmun sleeps up to 4 people in two bedrooms. With accommodation over one level, Kilmun is suitable for those who are less mobile and all rooms are wheelchair accessible.

The large open plan living/dining area is comfortably furnished with luxury leather sofas, a dining table and chairs, Wi-Fi access, TV with Freeview & DVD player and a selection of games and books should a lazy, rainy day be in order! French doors open from the lounge onto the large patio area, providing breathtaking views over Loch Avich. A perfect way to start the day with a cup of coffee or for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day exploring the local area. Kilmun's modern, fully equipped kitchen has everything required to create home cooked meals using fresh local produce, nearby Oban is the seafood capital of Scotland.

Both of Kilmun's bedrooms, one double and one twin, provide ample room for luggage and have wardrobes, bedside cabinets and a dresser with a mirror. Kilmun has a large informal garden with grass, mature trees, shrubs and a small burn running down to the loch with block paving at the front providing ample off-road parking. Perfectly positioned near to the coast and midway between Ben Nevis in the north and the Kintyre peninsula in the south, Kilmun is a wonderful base for exploring the west of Scotland ? and whatever your interests, there?s plenty to see and do.

Nature lovers will find a wealth of wildlife just outside the door of Kilmun. Deer, red squirrel and pine martins are all regular visitors with buzzards and golden eagles appearing in the sky overhead. Black grouse, otters and wildcats have also been known to make fleeting visits to Kilmun.

With the many tracks and trails that weave around Loch Avich and Loch Awe, Kilmun is an ideal base for exploring the local area on foot or two wheels. Or, for the more energetic, climbing the twin peaks of Ben Cruachan (3689ft). Fishing is available on both Loch Avich and Loch Awe (permits, boat hire and fly-fishing tuition available locally) and there are golf courses at Oban, Taynuilt and Dalmally.

From nearby Oban, ferries can be taken for day trips to one of the Hebridean Isles. Take boat trips to watch whales and the local wildlife or visit the Oban distillery, one of Scotland's oldest sources of single malt whisky, and try a 'wee dram'. Hire a kayak, visit the War and Peace museum or spend time pottering around the beautiful Arduaine Garden perched high on the windswept Argyll coast.

However you choose to spend your time in this beautiful part of Argyll and Bute, Kilmun offers the perfect relaxing, tranquil base. Regrettably, Kilmun is not able to accept pets.
