This common enjoys good views over the Kennet, with
good walking access. Snelsmore Common Country
Park
A combination heath and woodland, Snelsmore provides
an important nesting ground for several bird species, including nightjar and woodlark.
There are toilet and picnic facilities, marked walking trails, bridleways, and
cycle tracks. Access is via car parks off Wantage Road (B4494), Newbury.
