A rare surviving 17th century mechanical decoy set in a nature reserve with rare breeds. The National Trust gives regular demonstrations of how the decoy, including a dummy human, and dog, were used to lure ducks. There is a nature trail and exhibition centre on site.

An imposing 14th century moated gatehouse surrounded by gardens. Boarstall was built by John de Haudlo in 1312. The exterior chambers are largely unaltered since the early 17th century.

A restored, working watermill dating to at least 1787. Ford End is the only working watermill in Buckinghamshire to retain its original machinery. Unusual at this location is the sheepwash, where fleece was cleaned and washed to improve its resale value. Milling demonstrations are held regularly and visitors can purchase fresh-milled flour.

An attractive 16th century cottage that was the home of poet John Milton. It was here that Milton completed his great work Paradise Lost. The ground floor is now a museum relating Milton and his times. The gardens have been planted with species of flowers and plants that Milton wrote about.

The King's Head Hotel is a historic inn with royal associations. The inn dates to the mid 15th century, and it was here that Henry VI and Margaret of Anjou spent a part of their honeymoon, a fact which is commemorated in the stained glass of the mullioned front window. Later, Henry VIII visited the King's Head while he was wooing Anne Boleyn.

A attractive, thatched half-timbered building dating to the early 15th century. The Courthouse was originally a wool store, but was used as a manor court from the time of Henry V to the Victorian period.

One of the earliest examples in Britain of a windmill, Pitstone was built in 1627 to a postmill design. The mill, set in attractive Chiltern countryside, has been fully restored.
