Accommodation Description:
The Norcroft Guest House is just a five-minute walk from Penrith town centre, a delightful market town offering a rich and interesting history along with a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Penrith is situated close to the M6, which makes it an ideal location for those wanting to explore the Lake District and all it has to offer. Equally this location is ideal as a halfway house for those travelling up and down the country

For the energetic Penrith is located on the Coast-to-Coast cycle route.We have a choice of single, twin, double or family (up to five guests) rooms. All rooms are en-suite (many with newly refurbished bathrooms), with TV and tea and coffee making facilities

We have a total of nine rooms and can accommodate up to 22 people. The Norcroft is one of the few town centre Guest Houses with a large car park.We have an accessible room on the ground floor, newly fitted out and approved by Eden District Council

Access to the Guest House is via the ramped rear entrance. For the first meal of the day we offer the traditional full cooked breakfast, or lighter or vegetarian options to suit your requirements. If you have a special diet or requirement please let us know and we will try to accommodate you

We can provide packed lunches if you would like them.The Norcroft has a liquor license so you can enjoy an alcoholic or soft drink whilst relaxing.We have a residents lounge for guests to use to meet with other residents, watch television, read or have a drink

Following feedback from the majority of our guests, we have a strict no smoking policy throughout the Guest Housewe trust that you will understand.There is a drying room available should you get your clothes wet on your days activitiesThe Norcroft Guesthouse is an ideal stop for cyclists on the C2C route (the C2C cycle route passes our door). We have secure storage for your bikes

Should you wish, we can arrange bicycle hire and baggage carrying services. Penrith Golf Club is situated in a splendid location between the delight of Eden Valley and the majesty of the Lake District. Rounds of golf can be booked though the Norcroft Guesthouse with a discount for each resident

From the South Leave the M6 at Junction 40 Take the exit off the roundabout signposted Industrial Estate (North Lakes Hotel on your right)Turn right at next roundabout At the next roundabout bear left up the hill to another roundabout which you go straight over. With the supermarket on the right travel down the hill.You will be forced left into one-way system. In 200 yards follow the hairpin turn to the right. Move into the left-hand laneTake the left turn up Portland Place. At the mini roundabout turn left and you can see the Norcroft Guest House 400 yards in front. Our car park is at the backFrom the NorthLeave the M6 at Junction 41 Take the second turning off the roundabout. At the next roundabout turn right onto the A6 going south. On entering Penrith continue down the hill towards the town centre At the bottom of the hill you enter a one-way system. Stay in the left-hand lane Take left turn up Portland Place. At the mini roundabout turn left and you can see the Norcroft Guesthouse 400 yards in front. Our car park is at the back of the house.If you are arriving by train Penrith Station is only a 15 minutes walk awaybut call us and we may be able to come and collect you.we have wireless inter net access
