Derwent Bank, half a mile south of the village of Portinscale, is an idyllically situated Country House hotel. Its extensive grounds slope to the shores of Derwent Water, with hills rising across the lake. Speckled with isles and surrounded by diverse fells, Derwent Water lies at the heart of the northern Lake District

There are 37 Bedrooms at Derwent Bank. Single, Twin and Family rooms are available. All have en-suite facilities (bath or shower and WC)

Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and clock radio. Televisions and telephones are not provided in the bedrooms.Lounge, bar, games room ballroom and conservatory

Evening dinner and superb picnic lunch available at small charge.Arrivals please before 10.30pm and estimated arrival time helpful

Three course dinner available at approx 7.00 pm for 17 GBP pp - please arrive before 6.30pm if required

The hotel is ideally suited to guests on activity holidays especially walking.Dining is communal with evening meals available at 7.00pm
