The Macdonald Swan Hotel (to which Lake District poet William Wordsworth affectionately refers in his poem The Waggoner) is the perfect base for exploring the Lake District.

It prides itself on its centuries old reputation for true English Hospitality and personal service, and welcomes back many loyal customers year after year.
