Accommodation Description:

The George Hotel a delightful pub and B&B set in the beautiful village of Tideswell. Situated in the centre of Tideswell next to The Cathedral of the Peak we are surrounded by the most beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

The Peak District with over 22 million visitors per year is the second most visited National Park in the world - you would never know it but you will understand why when you see it. The George Inn Tideswell is perfectly located to give you great access to all the best bits of this 555 square mile park together with the equally famous Derbyshire Dales bang in the middle of England. The George Inn was built in 1730 is a listed building and retains many original attractive features such as its 18th century Venetian windows the carriage houses and stables.

Traditionally called the George Hotel we prefer ?Inn? as that is what it is. Whether you are looking for gentle country walks more exposed and challenging excursions on and off road cycle routes or beautiful countryside to drive through quiet traditional villages and towns cultural heritage and stunning grand houses it is all here on our doorstep. Alternatively go caving sailing canoeing ballooning and rock climbing and abseiling or just get away from it all and eat sleep and rest well.

Our kitchen is manned by an eager chef and his team who using local fresh produce have put together a fantastic menu to make your visit or stay even more worth while. Generous traditional plates and some fabulous specials such as baked camembert should keep the most discerning content. Our room prices of course include an abundant breakfast offering to set you up for the day ahead.

We are working hard to make everybody's stay special so if you have any particular requirements do please contact us to discuss them and we will do our best to help.
