Welcome to The George Hotel, a small comfortable 3 star hotel situated in the heart of the village of Braunton, with ample and easy parking in our own managed car park, situated opposite the hotel. The bars are busy with locals and afford our guests the opportunity to mix with, and get a flavour, of North Devon life. The property has recently been lovingly restored to become the perfect environment for all occasions and we are open all year

Lunch time and dinner menus are available and now include a Thai menu. The hotel is also on the bus route with regular local bus services to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay as well as a National Express stop. Braunton is ideally situated in North Devon for both business and for pleasure/sporting pursuits

Being within easy reach (4 miles) of Barnstaple, the regional town centre and also our beautiful beaches renowned for surfing, wild and stunning Exmoor, glorious Devon countryside and championship golf courses, the incredible sand dunes of Braunton Burrows and historic Braunton Great Field.

The George Hotel offers lunch time and dinner menus, each with a great selection of lighter meals and vegetarian dishes as well as some hearty traditional fayre. We would like to introduce our new Thai menu to compliment our existing traditional English menu. We also have Tip Top Thai Takeaway .... so whether you like your food mild or hot, hot, hot, we can cater for you! Our chefs create menus which are based on locally sourced food at reasonable prices.

Directions:
Barnstaple Train Station|Train|5|Catch a bus either direct from the train station or walk into Barnstaple Centre (approx 5-10 minutes walk) to the bus station. All of these bus services go through Braunton: 3, 3A, 303, 308. Exeter|Road|50|Take the M5 towards Barnstaple. Leave the M5 at Tiverton, follow the link road to Barnstaple. Turn off on the 3rd Roundabout once into Barnstaple (still on the link road). Straight across the roundabout, over the new bridge towards Ilfracombe. Follow the road (approx 4 miles), carry on past RMB Chivenor and into Braunton - the next village. We are on the main street on your left, our car park is opposite us on your right. Exeter Airport|Air|50|Take the M5 towards Barnstaple. Leave the M5 at Tiverton, follow the link road to Barnstaple. Turn off on the 3rd Roundabout once into Barnstaple (still on the link road). Straight across the roundabout, over the new bridge towards Ilfracombe. Follow the road (approx 4 miles), carry on past RMB Chivenor and into Braunton - the next village.
