Nestling in its own private valley Tor Cottage is small and very special, offering spacious luxury accommodation to a maximum of 10 guests. As national winner of the prestigious England for Excellence Award, only the very best is on offer

Each bed-sitting room, situated in the beautiful gardens, has its own private terrace and garden or private conservatory. Our garden ensuites have their own log fire for winter use. You arrive to our friendly welcome and will find our 'Welcome Trug' of sparkling cava, champagne truffles and fresh fruit in your immaculate ensuite

We will book you a table at a local restaurant or Inn, or (with advance notice) a delicious tray supper can be enjoyed in the perfect peace and privacy of your own room or terrace. Our breakfasts are lavish and offer an array of local produce. Vegetarian options are always available and special diets can be catered for (please advise us)

Gardens, a stream side setting and 28 acres of wildlife hillsides surround you. Swim in the outside heated pool in Summer, walk through the valleys towards Lydford Gorge and Dartmoor, play golf, ride, fish or cycle or visit the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall. Tavistock, voted best market town in England, is a 10 minute drive

The Cornwall border is a 20 minute drive.

Directions:
M5 at Exeter|Road|40|From M5 at Exeter take A30 (Okehampton direction). At SOURTON CROSS leave A30, signposted A386 TAVISTOCK. At bottom of slip road, turn right and then immediately left (before underpass), signposted BRIDESTOWE & LEWDOWN. Follow LEWDOWN signs for 6 miles. When you reach crossroads signposted, CHILLATON (4 miles) turn left. In Chillaton Village Square keep pub and shop on your left, drive up hill towards TAVISTOCK. 300m on your right you will see a track - drive slowly down track to end (1/2 mile).
