Forest Park Hotel was originally a vicarage, built on a forest site granted by the Crown, and paid for by John Morant, whose family once owned 425 acres around Brockenhurst in the latter half of the eighteenth century.

Forest Park became a hotel in 1902 and, apart from being used as a military hospital in World War One, has remained as a hotel to this day.
Robin Collins has owned Forest Park Hotel since 1968 and has made many alterations and additions during this time.
The Forest Park Hotel was built originally as a vicarage; Forest Park became a hotel in 1902. Situated in the heart of the New Forest, it offers opportunities for marvellous walks and horse riding. This fine country house hotel is set in peaceful surroundings and has a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. During the winter months, a blazing log fire greets guests. The hotel also boasts ample free parking. It prides itself on being a friendly hotel. The stables are attached to the hotel.
