Latchmead provides excellent bed and breakfast guest house accommodation in the Stansted area. London and Cambridge is a train ride away from our nearest station Bishop's Stortford or by car via the M11 motorway. We are seven miles from Stansted Airport and provide a free shuttle service from 04:15 hours through to 09:00 hours if pre-arranged.

Early starter breakfast consisting of cereal and toast is available for guests who need to depart prior to 07.30 hours.

Latchmead built in 1930's is set it two acres of mature grounds. All rooms have beautiful views of either the gardens or surrounding countryside. Close to the town of Bishop's Stortford and the main train link to London Liverpool Street station we can provide a collection and drop off service if pre-arranged.

Easy access to the M11 motorway junction 8 for guests travelling by car. We offer a free shuttle to service to Stanstead Airport from 04:15 to 09:00 by prior arrangement. Our village pub is a short walk from Latchmead and offers excellent evening or lunch time meals which are reasonably priced.

The menu is varied and vegitarian options are also available. Latchmead has a large private car park and we can offer a vallet parking if required. All guest rooms are no smoking.

Rooms are comfortable and have modern bathrooms/en-suite with power showers. Fresh linen and towels, a selection of bathroom toiletries, tea/coffee facilities, hair dryers, alarm clocks, are standard in all rooms. Bathrobes can be provided upon request.

Travel cots and Z-beds for children under ten are available upon request as is the use of washing machine facilities, iron/ironing board. We can offer secure left luggage facilities if required. We are always happy to help in anyway, local information, train or bus timetables, ticket information, local attractions and places of interest to visit.
