The Kings Head is a tradtional friendly 15th century oak beamed inn situated in the historic city of Canterbury offering a licenensed bar, food and en-suite bed and breakfast facilities. We are conveniently situated and within easy walking distance of the city centre.In addition to the cathedral Canterbury is home to the University of Kent and Kent County Cricket Club, the St Lawrence ground is approximately one and a half miles away

Real ales are available in the bar and we are listed in both the 2008 CAMRA Good Beer Guide and the 2007 CAMRA Beer, Bed and Breakfast Guide. In the relaxing bar you will find exposed beams and pub games including darts, bar billiards and a range of board games. The attractive garden plays host to the Kentish game of Bat and Trap during the summer months and also has a substantial heated smoking area

A wide range of bar snacks and meals are available daily except Tuesday evenings either in the bar or separate dining room.The cosy bedrooms, which have exposed beams, are all en-suite with a shower and toilet. All rooms have a colour television, teacoffee making facilities, electric fans and hair dryers

Restricted resident parking is available at the inn or alternatively in a nearby public car park.

Directions:
By road from London. From the M2A2 follow signs for Canterbury. In the city follow signs for A28 Ashford. Turn right at the Wincheap roundabout after the Habitat store passing under the railway bridge. The Kings Head is 500 metres on the right hand side just past the Esso filling station.By road from Dover. From the A2 take the exit for A28 Ashford and Wincheap Park and Ride. Turn right towards the city centre the Kings Head is 300 metres on the left hand side.By Rail from Canterbury East turn left towards the main road and left again passing under the railway bridge onto Wincheap. The Kings Head is on the right hand side about eight minutes walk from the station.By Rail from Canterbury West go towards the city centre and follow signs to Canterbury East station. Then follow directions from Canterbury East station to the Kings Head.By Coach. From the city centre bus station follow signs for Canterbury East railway station. Pass the station on your left and continue to the main road. Turn left passing under the railway bridge the Kings Head is 500 metres on the right hand side.
