Rock Inn, Taunton

Accommodation Description:
Welcome to the Rock Inn. Rock Inn at Waterrow is widely regarded as the best dining experience in the area. We are a 4 Star AA Rated Accommodation located in the lovely county of Somerset

Rock Inn at Waterrow is widely regarded as the best dining experience in the area. Here is what Somerset Life magazine said about us in May 2006: ?The Rock Inn has it all with bags of character, a great atmosphere and excellent food and wine at reasonable prices - we?ll be back .

.? The family management team - Matt Harvey front of house and Joanna Oldman in the kitchen is a proven winner. Matt trained with Raymond Blanc at Petit Blanc and later the Hotel du Vin chain and Joanna went to the top flight Tante Marie to learn her culinary craft

So you?re in good hands ! The Rock Inn is easy to get to: Waterrow is half way between Wiveliscombe and Bampton on the B3227, we are about 12 miles south west of Taunton. For detailed directions, click for Location. For those who don?t want a long drive home after a good bottle of wine with their dinner, or for holiday makers in mid-devon or travellers to other parts, we have eight comfortable, well furnished and characterful rooms here at the Rock Inn, each with its own private bath or shower facilities - see under accommodation

We?re on the southern fringe of the Exmoor National Park, one of the most beautiful areas of heather moorland. We are half an hour?s drive from the sea and close to the ever popular walkers? paradise of the Quantock Hills. Here at Waterrow we are also sitting among the less familiar Brendon Hills

You?ll find out more under the Local Area.

Dining Facilities
The restaurant at the Rock Inn is very country chic - in the bistro style with tables and chairs in wood, linen napkins, salt and peppercorn grinders and the sort of Riedel glasses that people who enjoy good wines always prefer to encounter. Service is pleasant and courteous in both the bar and the restaurant but the latter affords a degree of formality that is not readily achievable in a bar thatメs worth the name. All food is sourced locally and home cooked to a high standard.
