Traditional 16th Century Inn with oak beams and open fires tastefully furnished to a high standard whilst retaining its original features. Our rooms are all ensuite and are furnished in a traditional country cottage style recently featured on Channel 4's 'Three in a bed' we are proud of our relaxed and friendly attitude and welcome guests back after their first stay on a regular basis. If you wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and unwind then we are the ones for you.

The Babbling Brook Country Inn is a Traditional 16th Century Inn once described as a 'chocolate box' as there is a surprise behind every door! We boast no Jukebox TV fruit machines or pool tables just Excellent Food & Drink. With oak beams and open fires. You can choose to dine Alfresco in our beautiful Cottage garden during the warmer months or by our roaring fire when he weather is cooler.

We have a varied menu from our pub classics to our mouth watering Chef's Specials and fabulous (best in the area) Sunday Carvery you will be spoilt for choice when you visit. Our Ensuite Rooms will allow you to unwind to the sound of birds singing in the morning and stars shining in the evening and without street lights they are truly amazing! We are situated in the beautiful Hamlet of Shurton on the edge of the Quantock Hills halfway between Bridgwater and Minehead just a 15 min drive from J24 on the M5 and close to Taunton. Ideally placed to visit lots of attractions some of the closet local Golf Course are Enmore Golf Club and Cannington.

Beach fishing at Kilve & Lilstock for Bass & Cod and Burton Springs less than 1/2 mile away for fly and course fishing. Bird watching at the Bird sanctuary at Steart on the Seven Estuary. The West Somerset Steam Railway.

Whilst staying you will find us welcoming and friendly and often have return guests as we find that once you have stayed once you will want to return. Our style is relaxed and informal and we like you to feel like your in a 'home away from home'.
