Since opening its doors in 2011 Dove Cottage Bed & Breakfast in Compton Bassett has enjoyed some rave reviews for its homely welcome, comfortable rooms, and Full English Breakfast. Built in the 18th century this former farm worker's house has been tastefully extended and upgraded to include two large rooms (double with private bathroom and twin with ensuite) and a separate annex which accommodates up to 2 adults and 2 children on a self catering or Bed and breakfast basis. Located in the heart of Wiltshire, Compton Bassett has a wealth of history and is a great central location for access to the towns of Bath, Avebury, Marlborough, Devizes, and Swindon, as well as the popular tourist destinations of Avebury, Silbury Hill, Stonehenge, West Kennet Long Barrows, & Cain Hill Locks.

The village itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside with walks aplenty and has an excellent traditional pub/restaurant which serves a selection of local ales and exceptional food.
