Accommodation
Description:
From: £75.00 The original house is over 500 years old and stands in delightful English gardens. We have 14 en-suite bedrooms with the old charm and quirkiness of an historic building in a lovely village location. There are Four Poster Rooms with balconies over-looking gardens to the rear of the hotel All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and a colour TV with remote control. The Bell House is one of the most attractive small hotels in the West Country. The Bell House makes an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. The Bell House offers a non-smoking restaurant, as well as large gardens for al fresco dining Wi-Fi is available in both the bar and restaurant areas. A conference room is also available for hire. When England was under the influence of Oliver Cromwell all church services were banned and all church bells confiscated The villagers of Sutton Benger hid the bell from the beautiful Saxon Church in the private house directly opposite. Hence, this is how the Bell House gained its name. The cities of Bath, Swindon and Bristol are all within a 20 minute drive and we are ideally situated for both the Castle Combe Race Track and Badminton Horse Trails The surrounding area has a wealth of ancient sites, numerous white horses and the standing stones of Avebury. The famous beautiful villages of Castle Combe (Dr Dolittle) and Lacock (Harry Potter) are both within a ten minute drive. Accommodation Rating:
