Many historic buildings have been converted to beautiful ornate shopping malls, such as the Victoria Quarter or the Corn Exchange, which offer a choice of unique high fashion boutiques.

As you would expect, Leeds also offers the myriad of usual high street shops and department stores. There is a wealth of famous attractions nearby including the Royal Armouries, where you can experience battle re-enactments and hundreds of historical exhibits. For theatre lovers choose from the Yorkshire Playhouse, The Grand or Leeds Civic theatre. Further afield, attractions include Kirkstall Abbey - extensive ruins of a Cistercian Abbey and the beautiful Castle Howard often featured in television period dramas.

Also visit Armley Mills, which was once the worlds largest woolen mill and where you can now retrace the steps of the Industrial Revolution. Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Harewood House are also just a short drive from Leeds and well worth a visit.
