From M8 West M77 Motorways Travelling from Glasgow International Airport (8 miles) and Glasgow Prestwick Airport (40 miles) follow signs for Glasgow City Centre. Exit the M8 motorway at junction 18 signposted A82 Dumbarton. As you leave the motorway follow the sliproad which links to the start of Great Western Road (A82) and continue ahead for a mile. The Clifton Hotel is situated on the right hand side of Great Western Road on Buckingham Terrace. To access our private parking facilities turn right onto the small access road just after Hamilton Park Avenue and then turn left on to Buckingham Terrace. Take the first street on the right where you will see our private car park on the immediate left. From M8 East M74 and M80 Travelling from Edinburgh and the East The North and South follow signs for Glasgow City Centre on the M8 motorway. Both the M80 (from the North) and M74 (from the South) join the M8 to the east of Glasgow. Exit the M8 at Junction 17 signposted Dumbarton A82. As you leave the motorway keep to the right hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights at the end of the sliproad. Continue ahead over the flyover onto Great Western Road and carry on for a mile. The Clifton Hotel is situated on the right hand side on Buckingham Terrace before the crossroads at the Botanic Gardens. . To access our private parking facilities turn right onto the small access road just after Hamilton Park Avenue and then turn left on to Buckingham Terrace. Take the first street on the right where you will see our private car park on the immediate left. Arriving by Train Glasgow has two mainline railway stations Central Station and Queen Street Station both conveniently situated in the heart of the city and almost two miles from the Clifton Hotel. Taxi Ranks are located outside the main entrances of both stations. From Central Station Buses 18 and 59 leave from Hope Street and stop near the Clifton Hotel at the Botanic Gardens and Great Western Road respectively. From Queen Street Station take buses 20 and 66 from the bus stop adjacent to Glasgow Tourist Information Office on George Square. Arriving by Coach National and International coach services terminate at Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station situated in the northern fringes of the city centre approximately 1.5 miles from the Clifton Hotel. A taxi rank is located at the side of the main building and bus services 20 59 and 66 depart from nearby Hope Street at the Scottish Television Studios and Theatre Royal. If travelling from the Isle of Skye Fort William Oban and Campbelltown Scottish Citylink coaches from the above destinations serve Great Western Road and stop near the Clifton Hotel.
