Comfortable, relaxing stay
Stayed here for one week with my son, his wife and two grandchildren. My elderly father was also with us. The cottage did not disappoint, was perfectly placed for the kids to enjoy the beach and all on the level for my father. Lots on the doorstep - an indoor pool, soft play, a local hostelry that served excellent food at a reasonable price and a super fish and chip shop! Perfect accommodation with everything to hand in a beautiful area. While the four bedrooms were not massive, they were perfectly adequate and comfortable. The lounge/dining area was large and the kitchen modern and well equipped. As is pointed out in the information, the house is situated next to a caravan park, but as we enjoyed their facilities, we could hardly complain! All in all a super week had by all.

Liked everything; the place, the setting, the whole area of Scotland that we got to visit plus we had amazing weather which was the icing on the cake. Will definitely go again, maybe next year.

Fantastic place
Stayed here with family and friends whilst celebrating my husbands 50th Birthday, also visiting family in Dumfries for the week. This house is amazing, and loved every second of my time here. The owner had left us flowers and a bottle of wine, lovely touch. The house had its own guest book, which is full of lots of positive comments , unfortunately I forgot to write my own. This house is well equipped with everything you need, although the pans have seen better days, but I'm sure lots of guests probably eat out. The bathroom is fantastic. My only negative would be the bedroom sizes, they're very small doubles., but now I know how small they are it wouldn't stop me from returning for another visit . The area is stunning and we were very lucky with some fab sunshine, ate out a couple of times and the John Paul Hotel, reasonable and decent choice., they also showed the football which kept the boys happy !! Will definitely return providing the price isn't going to shoot up !! I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this property, it's a hidden gem :-) x
