Not for persons with mobility problems
This is a lovely house in a beautiful setting by the river Severn , located centrally in the lovely town of Ironbridge. However, I do feel that there are a number of safety issues in the property, internally there are steps to different levels, plus a narrow and very steep open step stairs. Externally you have a steep garden, with steps of various levels and some without any handrails. So if you have mobility problems this is probably not the accommodation for you. Plus if you have young children or dogs there is nowhere in the garden that is enclosed, which means whenever they are outside there us a danger of them falling down steps or getting to the very fast moving river. It would be better if the top patio could be closed off . Just to say on the listing that they have to be supervised all the time is not sufficient . I would not recommend this property at present, if the safety issues are resolved then it would be an ideal place to spend sometime relaxing time.

A fantastic property in a great location in Ironbridge itself. Fishing at the bottom of the garden is good. Overall it was a great place to stay and there was lots to do in and around the town, with plenty of excellent places to eat.

We liked everything about Riverside Cottage. The garden is very quirky and lovely to sit in after a day out. This is our second visit and hopefully not our last.

All the bedrooms were of a good size and the kitchen was particularly well equipped. The terraced garden was lovely with a variety of seating areas. I can imagine in the summer it would be a treat to sit out.

excellent rental cottage
I said cottage as that's what it was called but its a large house, right in the heart of Ironbridge, just a very short walk to the end of the street and your at the shops, bars and restaurants. About 10 mins. drive to blitz museum and all the other museums are the same distance or less. The cottage is very well maintained, comfortable and the garden is a one off, its in layers, all with sitting areas, a swinging chair on two levels and a gazebo look at the river. You can fish from the bottom of the garden into the river Severn. Will definitely return to this property and recommended to all our friends
