A perfect hideaway
Wow! What can I say? This little cottage gave us a week of relaxation between house moves (and a ideal self-isolation place during the Covid-19 outbreak) in an ideal location to access the beautiful region of Dumfries & Galloway. The cottage is only 1 mile from Ae forest, ideal for keen bikers like me and my family, or just for walking. The cottage was immaculate, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and everything had been considered. Very refreshing to work through a kitchen and find relevant utensils rather than hope they are there. Outside, the hard landscaping has been well considered with artificial lawn to the rear, a large terrace to the front and gravel elsewhere, ensuring a clean and dry site, and that minimal dirt was brought into the house. The only criticism I would make is that the driveway was difficult to drive into due to the depth of the gravel! This is the best rental cottage we have ever taken. We have a lot of family who visit from overseas and I would definitely book this for them.
