Directions:
Travelling from the North (M6)Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 (Sign posted Brough and Scotch Corner) for 13 miles leave at the Appleby signpost and follow the road into Appleby with the river on your right keep on this road for about of a mile and the Royal Oak is on your left. Travelling from the South (M6)Leave the M6 at junction 38 take the first turning off the roundabout onto the B6260 signposted Appleby travel through the picturesque village of Orton keep on this road for 9 miles over the moor (watch out for sheep on the road) drop into Appleby and carry on through the Town Centre and once over the bridge turn right follow the road past the Bowing Green the Hotel is situated on the left. Travelling from the East (Scotch Corner)Leave the A1 at Scotch Corner and take the A66 to Penrith approximately 28 miles leave at the signs for Appleby take this road for 2 miles as you enter Appleby the Royal Oak is on your right.
