An ideal base for exploring Bamburgh, Holy Island, Farne Islands and the Scottish Borders. The coastline of Spittal and the Tweed estuary is designated as an area of outstanding beauty. Feeling active? Cycle the 'Coast and Castles' route, we are on the National Cycle Route, or take a more leisurely stroll along our splendid coastal walks. Explore the stunning Elizabethan walls of Berwick - dating back to 1558, Berwick walls are the best preserved walled defences in Europe.
