They say "location, location, location" ... we've got it! Built in 1866, The Old Rectory is a superb example of Victorian gothic architecture. Now a delightful family home set in its own grounds with croquet lawn and gardens, it offers a real taste of English country life. Beyond the stables are fields and footpaths leading to the medieval village of Lacock. In the drawing room at the Rectory, play the Broadwood piano or just relax with views that overlook front garden, drive and orchard. The house boasts many original features such as mullioned windows, creeper-clad walls, stained glass windows and an ecclesiastical bell! A guardian angel is at the pinnacle of the house next to our Latin inscription - "He who listens, learns most". There's ample private and safe car and bicycle parking. Lacock is an oasis in Wiltshire, with its 17th century houses and Lacock Abbey, a gem of the National Trust dating back to the 13th century.
