The Dragon Hotel is an historic 17th century family run former Coaching Inn, set in the quiet village-sized town of Montgomery, in the stunning countryside of the beautiful rolling landscape that is The Welsh Marches (borders of Powys and Shropshire). We have 20 en-suite bedrooms, most with exposed ancient timbers and free WiFi, a spacious function room, complete with dance floor, a cosy restaurant, an indoor swimming pool and sauna and much more - all topped off with plenty of character and charm! The kitchen under Sues supervision has held an AA Rosette for fine food continually since 1999, using the best of local poduce wherever possible.There are extensive opportunities locally for walking, cycling, horse riding, shooting, fishing and visiting sites of historical interest and now a brand new Golf Course

Directions:
The Dragon stands on the Old Market Square behind the Town Hall at the top of Broad St.From M54 follow signs Shrewsbury then towards Welshpool on the A5. Exit the A5 at roundabout signposted Montgomery. Follow signs Montgomery through villages of Yockleton Worthen Marton and Chirbury. In Chirbury follow sign to Montgomery.On entering Montgomery travel to main junction then turn left. Follow up hill past Ivy House Cafe and turn right into Back Lane by Crown Inn. At the end go straight across in to Dragon Hotel car park. Travelling time from Shrewsbury approx. 25 mins.
