Set in an elevated position and benefiting from spectacular views over Leighton Reservoir, this property has been renovated to a high standard and provides spacious, well-equipped accommodation with two bedrooms sleeping up to four people. With spacious and stylish accommodation, a cosy sitting room and a pretty garden with valley views, this cottage is a wonderful home from home for a family or two couples.

The Cottage had splendid views and is really cosy.

Wuthering Heights
I wanted to introduce my family to the delights of Yorkshire. "Why can't we stay in London?", my Russian wife said. I think she and the kids thought I was completely mad as we drove along ever-narrowing country lanes lined with dry stone walls, leaving the last vestige of civilisation behind in Masham and heading out to the end of Leighton Reservoir. But then my 14-year daughter cried out "Sheep!" She had never seen one in the flesh before! and she was sold on the location. As soon as he saw the trampoline in the field behind the cottage, my 11-year old son was similarly smitten. It took a few minutes longer for my wife to appreciate Potts Hall Cottage but as soon as she had inspected the interior and realised that it was clean, warm, and cosy AND the beds were firm AND the owners had left some welcome goodies for us, she too was convinced. This location is spectacular, with a fantastic view over Leighton Reservoir and hills rising above to the moors. Looking out of the window, we were intrigued to see a tower standing alone and proud on the opposite side of the valley. A very pleasant hike ensued through the fields of sheep, across the reservoir sluice gates, and then up through the bracken and heather, over the crags, to a windswept and isolated monument to some past inhabitant's folly. For anyone wanting to get away from it all and live a simple life for a few days in the knowledge that fish 'n' chips and Yorkshire ale are available a short distance away in Masham, this is an ideal location. But don't tell everyone!

The owners were friendly and approachable, the cottage was everything you could imagine and the location perfect. The views were stunning and the animals made the picture perfect. Would definitely recommend and consider returning myself.
Mrs Stone

It was a very nice cottage upon a hill, with a spectacular view! From there it was easy to explore the Yorkshire Dales.
