Good Location, with some reservations.
We visited Hobbiton in late September /early October. with 2 friends (4 adults altogether ) The cottage was ideally situated in the village of Haworth . there was a handy shop just along the street and a good fish and chip shop also just up the road. Haworth was well-served with pubs and restaurants . The cottage was warm and cosy with heating included in the price. WE found the cottage slightly worn in certain areas. The draining board in kitchen needed replacing as it was wooden and all black and mouldy The lighting in the living room was inadequate and with just 3 table lamps it was impossible to read in the evenings. The mattress in the small second double bedroom needed replacing as there were actually 2 mattresses on the bed ;one on top of the other. Our friend found it uncomfortable with very little support . The small en-suite shower room had nowhere to hang a towel and there was no where to hang wet coats downstairs . . No bedside table on one side of bed in main double room making it necessary to put book , glasses etc on the floor.. So to conclude ; the cottage was adequate but with a little thought and not too much effort things would have been far more comfortable. We liked best ; location and good efficient heating. We liked least ; lack of adequate lighting in living room. .

Wonderful cosy cottage
Loved our stay in this lovely cottage - really cosy and well-equipped . Fiona was really helpful ( thanks for the wine !) and keen to ensure all was well. Parking is easy - there was always a spot on the street outside and Haworth Main Street is just a short walk away . It is full of cafes and pubs but beware it is tricky on weekday evenings to get a meal out after about 730 . We loved the Fleece Inn for good pub food and the Cookhouse has great cream teas . For days out Skipton and Salts Mill ( Saltaire ) are recommended . The Bronte Parsonage is a must of course . We would most definitely come back to stay at Hobbiton !

A Hidden Gem in Haworth
We (My husband and I, Son and Daughter-in-law and our 2 dogs) have just had a lovely Easter weekend at Hobbiton Cottage, We were met by the owner Fiona with the keys on our arrival and shown around, she had kindly left us a nice bottle of wine which was very welcome after our long journey. Fiona kept in touch via text during the weekend which I found very helpful and reassuring. We all thought Hobbiton Cottage was very cosy and warm and the gas log fire was lovely to sit around after coming back from a long a day out. If the weather is poor there are DVD?s and Games to keep you occupied. The cottage was very clean and tidy and we had plenty of room although the second double bedroom room was a little snug but fine as we used the single bedroom as a dressing room, the double en-suite bedroom at the back of the property was very nice and large and I loved the lizard on the wall, the family bathroom was large with a really deep roll top bath which my son thought was wonderful, the nice wooden flooring in the lounge was ideal for the dogs and the kitchen/dining room was modern well equipped and had everything you could need, the garden was enclosed and safe so perfect for dogs and with just a short walk down the road you will find Central Park which is very convenient. The cottage is in a lovely area just a short walk from Haworth centre with it?s lovely quaint shops and The Bronte Parsonage, there is a Fish and Chip shop and a Spar Supermarket all within in walking distance of the cottage. While we stayed we went for Sunday lunch at The old Hall which was very nice, they had a Gin Festival in Marques the weekend we were there which seemed very popular. We travelled into Harrogate on one of the days which only took us an hour by car. Hobbiton Cottage is situated in a perfect place for exploring West Yorkshire and is nicely tucked away in a quiet little road. It was a pleasure to stay in and we will definitely be visiting again.

We enjoyed our stay at Hobbiton. The owner was very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for her. I would recommend the cottage as a great place to stay and relax.
