This three-storey property is situated in Skipton and sleeps two people in one bedroom.

7 Mill Bridge is a semi-detached, stone built, three-storey property, part of a mill conversion, in the town of Skipton. This cottage sleeps two people in one lower ground floor double bedroom. The cottage also has a lower ground floor wet room, a ground floor kitchen with dining area and a first floor sitting room with Juliet balcony. Outside there is roadside parking nearby. 7 Mill Bridge is an ideal retreat for those that wish to explore Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The property is in a fantastic location, best in the town probably. Accommodation comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great to have reserved secure parking in a town centre location but with so much within walking distance, we rarely used the car. To sum up, a lovely, quirky little place that we were very happy to come home to each evening, hard to fault.

: Arrived to a terrible stench of rotting food : Kitchen bin overflowing : Dirty pots : Unmade bed : Dirty bathroom : Dirty kitchen : No kettle : Broken tv : Badly stained duvet with no protector : Fridge with sour milk that had solidified and separated : Cupboard full of half used food, lemonade and juices I could go on. The owner quickly spruced up the cottage after telling us give them an hour and a half. We asked what he was prepared to do about the above and he replied "what can I do, it's our opening night after refurbishment, there's nothing I can do". He explained that if he didn't have time to speak to us on the Saturday or Sunday he would make a point of speaking to us on the Monday. This was Friday night! He owns the Castle Inn across from the cottage and he explained he left the cottage to his housekeeper to deal with and that he hadn't been in it to check. I asked if he would like to sleep in a bed with brown stains on the duvet, he didn't reply and again asked what he could do about it. We asked for a refund he agreed, I got it in writing, and we had to travel home the same night, which took us a good couple of hours.

Having travled up to skipton on arrival the place where we we told to pick the key up from was all ring fenced off and closed for building work. I Contacted the agent that we booked through and they could not contact the owner so we had no choice but to go home. I have given the owner a week before puting in a review ,but have had no cantact or appology or explanation as to what went wrong. Thanks for ruining my 50th birthday.

Very well equipped and very comfortable, we really enjoyed our week there. The location is perfect for the centre of Skipton. Highly recommended.

Actual Pillows filthy smelt of food. Not cleaned all that well. No toilet paper on arrival. No manual for the wifi,TV/Sat TV operation. I if remember correctly 7 globes not working An absolute brilliant location. A pity that the finer details are not attended to otherwise I would happily rate it as a 5 star. I let Sykes Cottage know of the shortfalls, would be interested if the problems have been addressed. If they have would certainly stay there again. The host operates the Hotel opposite very pleasant fellow. I have recommended as yes, ask first if concerns addressed
