Home from home!
We have spent a fabulous week here as a family exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. April Cottage is a real home from home and has exceeded our expectations. Fully equipped with many thoughtful extras which we've really appreciated (v helpful welcome pack and v kind tea and biscuits). Extremely cosy living room and good sized bedrooms. Lovely garden area at the back with a glorious view. An excellent base for days out: 10 to 20 minutes drive to lots of fab places and beaches including Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes. Regular buses into Whitby and Scarborough. Great fish and chips from Eskdale Fisheries in Sleights. The cottage has all you could want and we will be back!

Probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in, we felt at home as soon as we walked in. The cottage is perfectly situated for the country or coast, easy access to Whitby.

We had a wonderful stay at April Cottage. It was in a great location for exploring the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors. This is a very clean, wonderful positioned cottage and we cannot wait to our next stay.

Home from Home
The cottage was chosen based on its location for friends travelling from outside the area. It was everything we wanted, the attention to detail, the little touches all added to our enjoyment. Our friends had never had a holiday in a cottage, but I suspect their mind has been changed by this delightful cottage. It was homely and welcoming, off the main road but close enough to allow quick access to the wonderful Yorkshire coast and country. We would have no qualms in recommending a stay. Just don`t all book at once because we want to return, this surely is high recommendations for April Cottage.

The location of the cottage allowed us to relax and soak up the peace and quiet, recharging our batteries. There was lots to do in the area should you wish. We had friends travelling up from London who had never stayed anywhere other than hotels and they left extremely impressed with the whole package. I suspect they will be looking for more of the same.
