Fabulous stay!!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here in the summer and had such an incredible time! The cottage went above and beyond expectations. As soon as we arrived it was clear that a lot of thought, love and care had gone into the place - the cottage was immaculate, very clean and tidy. We were greeted with a complimentary cream tea which went down a treat. The decor and little touches made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We slept like babies - the bed is so comfy. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay feel like a home from home experience. Not to mention the stunning views!! The location is perfect - only a short walk away from pubs, cafes and art galleries! We would 100% recommend this cottage if you're looking for a peaceful getaway. It's fabulous! We can?t wait to return next year.

Fabulous location , not so fabulous cottage
This cottage is so close to the harbour and within easy access of all the facilities of beautiful Mousehole. The local shop has fresh sausages, bacon etc. The local cafes all do takeaway and we had wonderful paella and ice cream! The Cottage is not suitable for anyone ageing or with any physical difficulties. Our first challenge was to navigate the incredibly steep steps upto the front door. We were then faced with a sheer drop stair case into the kitchen. However there is a door on the ground floor that takes you directly out onto the road outside so no need to use the main door with the steep steps which we used for the remainder of our break Parking is always a challenge in Mousehole just have lots of change and you will find somewhere eventually The positives; great locatio, Mousehole is beautiful, wonderful large walk in shower, good kitchen facilities and very comfortable double bed. Mind the wood at the bottom sticking out we have a cut and bruise from this! There was a lovely cream tea waiting for us, scones Jam and Cream and a pint of milk which was appreciated The not so positives; the fresh paint fumes hit us as soon as we walked in and it was impossible to open the old windows to let any air in making being indoors very warm, uncomfortable and caused headaches. All the windows, as we couldn?t open them were badly condensated every morning The sofa and chair had no padding and it was like sitting on pieces of hard wood The table and chairs in the lounge, the chairs has wooden low backs that again were uncomfortable The WiFi tv had limited channels as the WiFi connection was poor To bring your meals up from the kitchen was virtually impossible due to the overly steep stair case, you have to literally carry one item at a time, lots of cold meals! The neighbour likes to stand outside his front door very early in the morning and advise his wife that he is going to the shop, back from the shop, so don't expect to be able to have any peace or a lie in as this goes on all day!! This is not a cottage that will make you feel relaxed, it's caused stress due to all of the above and apart from the bed is very uncomfortable. So much so we cut our holiday short and came home early. We have stayed in a different cottage in Mousehole many times and always had a wonderful stay, we wanted to experience somewhere else and this was a disappointment
