The little village of Ashby St Ledgers lies just inside the south west boundary of Northamptonshire, just north of Daventry. It is an attractive village, with lovely thatched cottages and most buildings crafted in the local warm-toned ironstone.

Brixworth is a large village just off the A508 between Northampton and Market Harborough. The older areas of the village have a number of very attractive cottages built of local ironstone. By far the most interesting historic building in Brixworth is the parish church, dedicated to All Saints.

Naseby, Northamptonshire, is a small village of about 500 inhabitants situated high in the rolling hills of the Northamptonshire uplands about 7 miles from Market Harborough. The village is most well-known for its associations with the English Civil War. It was here on June 14, 1645, that one of the most important battles of the war was fought.
