St Mary's is a Georgian church in the heart of Wooler, erected in 1764 near the site of a medieval church. The interior is a mix of Georgian, Victorian and early 20th-century work, with excellent 19th-century windows. Look for the 1790s Loyal Glendale Rangers pennant, a reminder of the volunteer force raised here during the Napoleonic Wars to counter the threat of a French invasion.
