A ground floor property on the banks of the River Severn, with three bedrooms to sleep seven people, and private mooring and fishing rights.

This riverside holiday property is set over the ground floor of a detached house in the village of Astley Burf. The accommodation, which includes a double room, a twin room and a family room with a double and single bed, is spacious and comfortable, and has been furnished with taste and style. The well-equipped kitchen has a dining area and doors out onto the garden, which overlooks the river.

This part of the garden has furniture and a BBQ, ideal for dining alfresco, while a further, separate section of the garden banks straight onto the river and offers guests the terrific bonus of private mooring and fishing. A lovely holiday property in a desirable riverside location.

Stunning location!!
Four of us stayed a week at Rosewaters Cottage and were initially concerned about space but we needn?t have worried?.the property was so spacious and open plan. The weather was hot but it was wonderfully cool inside. Idyllic location - right on the river; on the bank of which we had marvellous picnics. Perfect private grass garden - ideal for our little dog. Superb location. And Graham the caretaker was so friendly and helpful. Could not recommend this property highly enough.

Lovely relaxing break but beware of deposit refund! Shocking customer ethos
Had a great week away here. Well equipped, clean, relaxing and just what we were looking for. On return i had to contact the owner as 4weeks after our holiday we still hadn't received the good housekeeping deposit back. He told me I had to provide bank details which I then did and only received £90. I asked why, only to be told i had used some kind of bleach on a bath towel so it has to be replaced. Nonsense. I don't use bleach at all as my daughter has eczema and asthma. I don't mind holding my hand up if I've done something. I even spoke to the man upstairs who seems to look after the cottage when the plug in the bathroom broke on day 2. He told me he had tried a few times to repair it but couldnt. So now after asking why the £10 has been withheld I've received a few unsavoury text messages saying I'm using every excuse when I should have raised it before. Well I only realised today that you have withheld money and tried to advise that it wasn't us. What i don't expect from a man running a business is such terrible customer service and a surly attitude.

Much better than previous reviewers give credit for
Let us be clear there are pluses and minuses to this property, but it seems churlish to criticise the minuses when you know what you are signing up to. Let us deal with the positives first. The cottage was plenty warm enough. It was clean, tidy and well furnished and the wifi was good. It is also in a lovely quiet riverside location with great walks for dogs and humans on the doorstep. There are plenty of all sorts of entertainments that can be had a short drive away, from the West Mids Safari Park and Severn Valley Railway, to Hartlebury Museum, Worcester City and so on. Being all on one level with a very small step on the access path meant that it was easy enough to get elderly family members into and out of the house. However; had we been more organised we would have tried to find a property with more than one bathroom, and with a washing machine. We might also have looked for a cottage that was not the undercroft of someone's house. We weren't organised and so we made do with what we got, and no doubt paid less than we would have, if we had found a picturesque cottage with all the facilities that we could have desired.
