This was an extended family holiday from 11 month old to grandparents. The location is great right next to the North York Moors Railway line so you get close up views of the steam trains - kids loved it and so did we. Close to harbour and river walks, 5 to 10 minutes easy walk from town centre 15 minutes to the Magpie and band stand. 2 car parking plus on street parking close by - great for us coming in 3 cars. Lounge is laid back and comfy - good heating system but the house is very well insulated too so after 2 cooler days heating went off. kitchen well laid out with plenty of equipment. Take oven gloves though couple of pans got very hot handles! Double oven, but unfortunately top door did not close fully so cooking Sunday lunch was more difficult. getting all the negatives out of the way the top floor shower was temperamental and the lights were out in the main bathroom - difficult to shave. But for these niggles the review would have been excellent. Plenty of space good decor and the great location. Owner was very helpful and the booking process with Sykes cottages was painless. would recommend for a family holiday.
