tranquillity in the woods
Cottage was cosy and comfortable and had everything you need for a relaxing holiday, ideal to watch the wildlife from your windows or from the garden or plenty of walks around ,then take a 5 minute stroll down into tintern for a meal or visit the many attractions including the famous tintern abbey. Enjoyed the fish and chip van that visits the wirework carpark weekly which was a small walk from the cottage. The local bus route through tintern visits chepstow and monmouth. There is a lovely walk to brockweir through the trees but take care it gets muddy and you need to be fairly fit as it is mostly inclined. Would definitely return.

Great location and well equipped bungalow
Good sized bungalow and plenty of room for 6 friends and a dog! Separate toilet would have been good but not a huge issue, Plenty of hot water for showers and very well equipped kitchen. Short walk to decent pub and Tintern Abbey as well as tourist shops and tea rooms. Some good walks in area but I would recommend trainers / walking shoes. The Fountain (up in the hills) is also highly recommended and just a short drive. away. No shops in village for food items and no cash machines, Nice community run farm shop in Brockweir or take essentials with you!

Underwood Bungalow is extremely clean and situated in an extremely peaceful location within easy reach of many attractions.

Had very friendly helpful owners and was in a beautiful location. We felt very comfortable in this property.

Tintern was a lovely area with walks, scenery and pubs. The cottage was light, spacious and well equipped with good instruction manuals, there were deer in surrounding woods. A lovely sunny location a 5 minute walk from main village with Abbey, tourist shops, hotel and pubs. The owners left us a lovely welcome pack and a letter. They were easy to contact and very helpful with info on keys and things to see in the area. We enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeders and looking out for the deer around the garden.
