Lovely little gem
A lovely little find to enjoy all that Weardale and surrounding areas have to offer. Cosy, comfortable and a warm, personal welcome started off the week break perfectly. Thank you

Cosy cottage in lovely, peaceful surroundings
No need to repeat what others have already said about this excellent cottage in Weardale. Everything is as described on the webpage and the owner couldn't be more helpful. She really goes the extra mile to make her guests feel welcome and we can only think of positive things to say about it. We will certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area. It's also useful to know, for larger groups, that the cottage can be rented along with the large house next door.

Perfect little cottage
If you need some peace and quiet with wonderful scenery, then book this lovely little cottage. Nicola the owner couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. There was a welcome hamper and bread and milk provided. After a very long journey seeing the light on in the window and upon entering seeing fresh flowers and a spotlessly clean warm and homely cottage it made it all worth while. We met Nicola the next morning and she is very helpful if you haven't been to the area before. She is a lovely person and will I'm sure succeed with The old Miners cottage next door. The cottage is very well equipped with lots of wild life just outside the door. A perfect cottage for a couple wanting a relaxful holiday. Even though there was no wifi I didn't miss it really but my husband did.Though I understand Nicola is going to get it soon. Would definitely recommend.

The location of the cottage was perfect and the owner was on site to greet us, nothing was any trouble for her. The cottage was very clean and tidy and was a home from home. It was peaceful and tranquil, we will return.

We had a friendly welcome from the owner, and it was quite the best cottage we have stayed in. Lots of information was available. It was very well furnished and comfortable, and in a quiet and scenic location. The whole package was very good, and judging by the comments in the visitors book, this appeared to be the opinion of previous holiday occupants.
