Won?t disappoint
This is a lovely cottage in a good location to explore Skipton, Ilkley and the surrounding area. The underfloor heating worked a treat and made it very snug and comfortable. The upstairs heating didn?t come on so we had damp towels all week (towel rail stayed cold)...that's the only thing stopping a 5 rating. I would definitely recommend.

A Lovely place
Swallow Barn has everyone, character, charm. It is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Has everything you need for a great stay. Including a cool game called who am I? Which the family played one evening. We spent 4 days with our relatives visiting from overseas, A great base for visiting beautiful Yorkshire, Skipton Castle is great, It was lovely to come back to each evening to this comfortable welcoming barn. We all really felt we?d stayed somewhere very special. The owners are very welcoming and told us everything we need to know. Dogs have to be kept on a lead at all times outside because of live stock, that didn?t stop our dog from enjoying himself. Thanks for a lovely break.

Briliant accommodation and location
We were a large mixed group (aged 4 months to 60 years old) and an 18 month old Yorkshire Terrier called Tobie. We all found Swallow Barn to be an amazing place to stay. The ground floor has the 'wow' factor with the huge sitting area and the view up the stairs to the galleried landing. The whole place was spotless and the facilities are excellent. The sofas are so comfy and there is plenty of seating. The beds are also great and we all had restful sleep (even the baby!)The levels of equipment provided really are first class. There was a problem with the gas when we arrived that wasn't the fault of the owners but they bought us take away pizza as we couldn't cook. A lack of water for a short period the next day resulted in Sue bringing round two bottles of champagne and chocolates. This was very much appreciated and shows how much they value their customers. The farm is in a wonderful position on a hillside and so close to some great places to visit. We went to Skipton, Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, Fountains Abbey, Clitheroe, Ilkley and wished we had more time in this lovely part of Yorkshire. Would love to stay again and we enjoyed meeting Leonard, the farm dog.

We loved the open plan ground floor at Swallow Barn, which was so spacious. The design of the house was aesthetically pleasing with the central staircase and galleried landing. With a lot of people staying it was so good to have several en suite rooms and such a huge bathroom. We felt that the conversion of the property had been carried out with care and thought; the woodwork and fittings were beautifully constructed. All this is to say nothing of the stunning views across the valley and the hills beyond. We loved this place!

Mr.
Just returned home from a perfect weekend away at Swallow Barn. We were attending a family wedding in nearby Skipton so decided to book here instead of a hotel. There were 9 adults staying here and we cannot speak highly enough of the place. It was spotless on arrival and Sue the owner popped in to welcome us but then left us to our own devices all weekend, despite only living next door. The cottage itself is amazing, the photos really don't do it justice and the under floor heating just topped it off. The town of Silsden is a good half an hour walk away. It's all downhill so would recommend getting a taxi back home for the return journey. We ventured into Silsden on the Saturday afternoon and spent the day in the Robin Hood pub which was also a friendly and welcoming place. Five stars from us and we are already planning on going back next summer. Just perfect.
