This lovely apartment is situated in Whitby and sleeps eight people in four bedrooms.
River Forge is a delightful apartment in Whitby. Set over three floors, this apartment sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, consisting of one second floor king-size double, one second floor double with en-suite shower and two third floor twin rooms, along with a first floor bathroom. The apartment also has a first floor kitchen and a first floor sitting room with dining area and balcony. Outside there's off road parking for one car in a garage, as well as free roadside parking opposite the property and there's a terraced garden and front balcony. A very convenient base for exploring Whitby and the surrounding North York Moors National Park.

Everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage
I booked this holiday cottage for a weekend getaway with 6 girlfriends for my birthday, and it was everything that we could hope for, and more.
Unusually for central Whitby the property comes with a garage which was very useful for late arrivals as they didn't need to drive round to try to find a parking space late at night.
The d?cor is lovely, with lots of artwork of Whitby and the rooms felt like home from home, with comfortable beds.
The kitchen was very well appointed and we were able to cook dinner on the Friday night and cooked breakfasts over the weekend, as everything we needed was provided. We were also very pleased to find that there was a dishwasher.
The balcony overlooking the harbour was very popular for watching the world go by while having a cuppa or drinking Prosecco!
The owner had left us presents on the table for us on arrival, and it is thoughtful touches such as this that helped to make our stay so good.
We all had a fabulous time in a beautiful cottage with lovely views, and would definitely recommend it for a short stay or longer.

We spent a week at this apartment with family and friends; there were 7 of us altogether and not once did we get under one another's feet because the apartment is so spacious. The d?cor and the furniture are of high quality and the furnishings are lovely to behold and comfortable. There are books and games to use. The kitchen is spacious and very well appointed, including dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. All that you could need is there. A rear garden which is steeply terraced is beautifully tended and flowerful with a summer house and seating. Although only one bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, all the bedrooms are so attractive that it was difficult to choose one. The most attractive part of the apartment are the picture windows taking up the whole of the lounge front wall, one of them overlooking the balcony which is laid to table and chairs. The view over the River Esk is mesmerising. One's eyes are constantly drawn to the view of the marina, the passing boats, the town, the railways station opposite where steam trains from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as well as national railway trains pull in and out. From the balcony, one can see the fishing boats in the harbour, the swing bridge operating, the bustling town and the other way, the river and the new road bridge. A garage is included in the property - this is a rare find in Whitby. We parked one car in the garage and two cars on-street. Sometimes we could park on the road outside, sometimes we had to park a little farther afield but it was a particularly busy weekend when we arrived with several festivals going on. It was great being able to walk into town. It is a short walk from River Forge to the town centre and all of its lovely shops and restaurants and cafes. The welcome and care that we received was outstanding. The property is outstanding. It is the cleanest clean that I have ever seen in a holiday property. The property contains three sets of steep stairs, one to the living area, one to the first two bedrooms and one to the top two bedrooms. The bathroom and toilet are situated on the living area floor. Even those of us who get up in the night, didn't have a problem with having to go down two flights of stairs to the loo and back again. This is a property to which we wish to return because we felt 'at home'. The owners have done so much to make the place work and it does, on all levels.
Liked the quantity and quality of the furnishings and equipment, and the view from the decking area. As well as the amount of effort that has gone into providing the little extras for an enjoyable holiday.
The house was great and in a perfect spot, the views were lovely. Whitby has fantastic fish bars, restaurants and pubs which, after some great walks, was very rewarding.
