Bridgend - Ewenny Priory Ewenny Priory Church
At Bridgend, 20 miles west of Cardiff. A restored Priory church with a Saxon font. For complete details of the church, which has much of interest, a guide book is available online at http://www.komor.freeserve.co.uk/ewenny/ . More photos of Ewenny Priory Church.

Cardiff - Church of St John
In Cardiff city centre, off the M4. This church has a 130-ft Perpendicular tower and a Jacobean monument in the Lady Chapel.

Crick - Runston Chapel Runston Chapel
A48 to Crick, then minor road. Cadw. Small ruined chapel.

Llandaff - Llandaff Cathedral Llandaff Cathedral
Founded by Bishop Urban in 1107, but most of the choir, nave, and west front date from the following century. In 1500 the north west tower was built by Jasper Tudor, uncle to Henry VII. Much later work is the result of restorations in Victorian times. The interior of the church is dominated, perhaps overwhelmed, by a huge modern bridge bearing Christ aloft, the work of Sir Jacob Epstein.

Llandaff - St Mary St Mary, Lllandaff
At Llandaff, six miles west of Cardiff. Refurbished 600-year-old medieval church.

Llanmaes - St Cattwg (St Cadoc) St Cattwg
At Llanmaes, off B4265 near Llantwit Major. Dates to 13th century and was built on Celtic foundation. Wooden rood screen, three bells, medieval wall paintings, Norman font.

Llanmihangel - St Michael St Michael church, Llanmihangel
At Llanmihangel, off B4270 near Llantwit Major. Sited by Tudor manor house in farmland. No electricity. Dates from 13th century with Norman foundation. 18th century silver chalice belongs to the church.
