This property is a delightful, semi-detached barn conversion on a working farm and sleeps up to seven people.

This charming, semi-detached barn is situated on the owner’s working beef and sheep farm, has panoramic views across the rolling countryside and is a mile and a half from Winster. It has been thoughtfully converted and manages to blend its traditional features with modern conveniences. The well-equipped and stylish kitchen is on open plan with the equally stylish and spacious dining and sitting areas, and there is a well-appointed bathroom and three large bedrooms to complete the accommodation.

The family bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and one of the double rooms has lovely old cruck beams to add to the magical atmosphere of the room. This property is an ideal base for a family or group of friends to discover this fabulous region.

Wonderful location and cottage
We stayed at the cottage for a week, whilst on a training course in nearby Bakewell. The location is stunning and the cottage very well appointed; as three work colleagues, there's plenty of personal space; the weather was kind and we made good use of the rear garden area. Cannot fault anything about the stay, wonderful warm welcome, comfortable cottage and stunning location; I?ll definitely look to stay here with the family soon

Wonderful farm cottage
We have just returned from a week at Nuffies Cottage, my wife and I, Son and Daughter in law and our 15 month grand daughter. Just to say from the start, we could not have been happier with our choice of cottage/location/hosts and luckily the weather. You are staying on a working farm, the cottage faces onto a courtyard shared with another holiday let, a cottage occupied by a family member and of course the home of your hosts Gill and Mick. Due to the slope of the land, all downstairs windows face onto the courtyard, upstairs bedrooms have views of the surrounding countryside. It is well sized even for six people with two double bedrooms and a separate bathroom upstairs, kitchen/dining area and lounge area downstairs with a further twin bedroom and en-suite off this main area.. Apart from yourselves and food, just about everything else is provided, in a separate building is a utility room with washing machine and dryer which you are able to use, and various items such as high chairs/ironing board etc. Location is at the top of a hill [hence Hill Top Farm] just over a mile from the A5012 . Aldwark is a very small group of farms, the nearest pub is the Hollybush Inn which is about 1 mile down hill. Consequently any journeys out for a drink or evening meal would need to be by car unless you are quite fit and mobile. This was not a problem for us as we ate in every evening with our young grand daughter and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven/hob/microwave. All in all, if you are looking for a quiet stay in wonderful surroundings you could do a lot worse than stay with Gill and Mick, sadly even they cannot guarantee the weather but we were more than lucky with our weeks worth of bright sunshine.

Perfect family retreat
We stayed here with our 2 children (12 & 10) and my parents, and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very spacious and the kitchen well-equipped. Our girls loved the twin room with their own en-suite, and the 2 upstairs rooms were spacious and comfortable. The owners, Jill & Mick, were very friendly and made us most welcome. A great bonus is the communal washing machine and tumble dryer - there is something rather nice about coming home from holiday with all your clothes freshly washed and dried! The location (a tiny hamlet on a hill!) is perfect for exploring the Peak District. We especially recommend Dovedale, Carsington Water and the Heights of Abraham, which are all less than 30 mins away. We are already talking about returning next year!

A superb cottage on a small working farm. The owners made us instantly welcome. I would highly recommend Nuffies Cottage and we will be visiting again in the future.
