About the area
Anderby Creek is a small village - really not much more than a peaceful hamlet - on Lincolnshire's North Sea Coast, about 4 miles north of Chapel St Leonards. One local claim to fame is the unusual 'Cloud Bar', the creation of artist Michael Trainor, who came up with the idea for a 'cloud spotting area', associated with the Cloud Appreciation Society. This tongue-in-cheek unique attraction is a world's first! Just inland is Anderby itself, a small village just off the A52. The church of St Andrews in Anderby is a Grade II listed building with a 14th century cross in the churchyard. The historic house of Gunby Hall is just 8 miles away, and the unusual 5-sailed windmill at Alford is even closer.
