Don?t expect any sleep
It's sad to say that this beautiful property is ruined by noise. Not just from the social club and pub opposite ( advertised) but the car park behind the property being used as a meeting point for cars and their owners bringing subwoofers to play full volume , using car horns to play tunes. Cars doing donuts. All very intimidating.

Delightful accommodation, if a bit noisy
Gatehouse Croft is a historic building which has been imaginatively repurposed as a holiday let. It has ALL the facilities you could possibly desire. The ground floor living space is expansive, and each of the bedrooms has its own small sitting area. We did experience some noise from the local pub and social club. However, this is specifically mentioned in the description of the accommodation, and it is worth this minor inconvenience to stay in such a lovely place.

The accommodation was of great historic interest. An old Abbey which had been refurbished in a wonderful, tasteful manner. The furnishings had been collected from good antique dealers and were superb in their settings. Although the bed was an old oak half tester it was wonderfully comfortable. It was a nice, quiet location in spite of the club and pub opposite. It was also very handy for the shops in Polesgate, and the shop just over the road had just about everything one would need. I am so glad we went there.

This property was outstanding in every way. The restoration has been done to an excellent standard and with lovely detail. Great location for exploring the local area. A relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Highly recommended and we will certainly be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at Gatehouse Croft. It was a pleasure and an honour to stay in a property with such fantastic history, character and quirky features. I've never stayed in a more immaculately clean property. We will definitely be recommending to friends and family.
