Three beautiful stone built barn conversions with spectacular views across the valley and towards the sea. Our cottages are set on the slopes of an ancient wooded valley in landscaped gardens within five acres of lovely grounds including an ancient woodland, paddocks and orchard. There is an ancient woodland trail, with seating for guests to enjoy.
The paddock is where guests are free to play games, picnic, or just relax in. Guests also have exclusive use of a private fishing lake just five minutes walk from here. Yapham enjoys complete tranquillity set down our private half mile drive, yet it is perfect for visiting nearby tourist attractions, The Eden Project, Exmoor and Dartmoor.
The Hartland Peninsula is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breath-taking coastal scenery, wonderful cliff top walks and beautiful secluded beaches. Walk the two-mile farm trail which adjoins our property or walk the nearby South West Coast Path. You are spoilt for choice for walking in the area as the peninsula has 12 miles of spectacular coastline, as well as many waterfalls and woodlands bedecked with bluebells in the Spring.
You are sure of a very warm welcome and on arrival will find a delicious cream tea in your cottage plus many other personal touches to make your stay with us truly memorable. A very pretty single-storey cottage, Barley offers a particularly private location. The living room has fine views over the adjoining valley.
Barley has a separate fitted kitchen with dining area. Small double bedroom with en-suite shower room. There is a conservatory which allows guests to read a book, or just to relax in the sun.
A folding bed is available to sleep a third person in the lounge, if required. I can also provide a travel cot and high chair. Please ask for their availability when booking.
Free WiFi is available. A shared utility room is available for guests. It has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer.
Barley is a dog friendly cottage. Note that terms and conditions apply for dogs plus a ?10 additional fee. There are a small number of steps (with handrails) leading from the parking area to the cottages.
