Tired noisy farm accommodation
We booked for one week and left after 3 nights. Run down, tired exterior, dirty windows and entrance, cobwebs and dead flies everywhere, very uncomfortable double bed , very uncomfortable sofa. The building is on the yard where the farm vehicles pass and they did so soon after 7am each morning, the sheep were right by our accommodation and whilst we were there had to be separated from lambs so the noise was incessant. This spoilt any chance of a relaxing countryside break along with tractor and farm vehicles up and down all day I had to sweep the step leading into the accommodation on arrival as it was so dirty, really needed scrubbing as dried mud from farmyard. If you had the windows or doors open the place filled with flies. The windows and glass entrance door needed cleaning as smeared with mud. Complained to Sykes and asked to be moved but owners wouldn?t release us. They offered an extra clean but it wouldn?t have changed the noise and general messy yard and building. This was not for us and if you choose to stay here be very aware you are right in the middle of an old busy noisy messy farm yard. It is definitely not worth the 4 star rating given by Sykes
