Llansannor
- St Senwyr
At Llansannor, on minor road near Cowbridge (A48), Vale of Glamorgan.
The only church in Wales dedicated to this saint. A place of worship
since the 12th century. Yard contains a lych gate and row of lime trees.
The church has a saddleback roof, 16th century porch, porch with sundial,
wall painting and other architectural features of interest.
Llantwit
Major - St Illtud

On the B4265, Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan. Tel. 01446 795551.
This church is a grade 1 listed building and should not be missed. It
is really two churches in one, joined by a tower. One church is 13th
century and contains a wall painting of St Christopher. The original
Norman church (rebuilt in the 15th century) contains a number of effigies
and early Christian stones and crosses.
Marcross

Trinity 
At Marcross, off B4265 near Llantwit Major. 12th century (restored).
Norman font, doorway and chancel arch.
Monknash
- St Mary Magdalene 
At Monknash, off the B4265 near Llantwit Major. Simple church on 12th
century foundation (restored). Stone pulpit.
Newport
- St Woolos Cathedral 
At Newport, off the M4, on Stow Hill. A parish church designated as
a cathedral in 1930. The 11th century nave contains many Norman features.
There is a 15th century tower. Some of the columns may be Roman in origin.
A stained glass window in the east end is notable.
Penarth
- St Augustine
At Penarth, south of Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, on the A4160. 1866
grey limestone church is considered masterpiece of neo-Gothic. It has
a saddleback tower copied from the old church that was on the site.
Interior has many colours and patterns.

Bride's Major - (St Bridget)
12th century Norman church, 16th century monuments and statuary.
Wick
- St James
At Wick, on the B4265 near Llantwit Major. Dates from 12th century and
was part of Ewenny Priory. Newer parts are in Early English style. Medieval
stone altar.
