Circle 275
Penmaenmawr, Gwynedd. OS Map Reference SH 725 747
Five low stones in a circle that has been called the smallest in Britain. Quartz deposits have been unearthed in a pit in the centre of the circle. Circle 275 is quite close to the more striking Druid's Circle. See map

Druid's Circle
Penmaenmawr, Gwynedd. OS Map Reference SH723746
Thirty stones make up this unevenly spaced circle, with a diameter of roughly 80 feet.The stones are elevated on a rough bank of rubble, and entrance is through a group of 4 stones set 8 feet apart. Druid's Circle is within sight of Circle 275. See map

Extraordinary copper mines dating to the Bronze Age. The underground galleries can be visited, and an interpretive centre explores the history and archaeology of the mines. See map

Hendre Waelod Burial Chamber
Glan Conwy, Conwy, North Wales. OS Map Reference SH 793 748
This dolmen tomb on the River Conwy dating to 3500 BCE fronted by portal stones standing 10 feet high. The tomb is topped a massive capstone. See map

Maen y Bardd (Stone of the Bard)
Rowen, Conwy, North Wales. OS Map Reference SH 741 719
A Neolithic burial chamber composed of a projecting capstone supported by three standing stones. There are several solitary standing stones in the area. See map

Moel Ty Uchaf
Off the B4401 between Corwen and Llandrillo, Gwynedd. OS Map Reference SJ 057 371
A cairn circle measuring 39 feet across, composed of 41 standing stones. None of the stones is very tall, though the location provides wonderful views over the valley below. A cist has been found in the centre of the circle. Nearby is the Ring of Tyfos stone circle. See map
