A lovely village with a village green in the centre. In peaceful countryside with lots of walks, a great location close to lots of different places to visit. Great cottage, very relaxing.

We were very pleased with End House, especially the location. The children aged 8 and 11 were able to go out on their own and particularly enjoyed the waterfall. We were fortunate to be in the village when it was May Fest, that was really good fun.

End House is situated on the edge of the village green in West Burton, close to all the essential amenities. There are plenty of walks from the house itself but it is also a good location for exploring other areas of The Dales.

Cosy!
This cottage was a little old-fashioned but very warm, welcoming and cosy. Five of us stayed and there was ample space for us all. The bathroom was modern, there were loads of towels and plenty of very hot water. We enjoyed using the coal & log fire. The waterfall was spectacular after all the rain; and the village is picturesque. Unfortunately the weather was awful for our weeks stay (over New Year), so the homeliness of the cottage was particularly important. We visited Leyburn, some horse-racing stables,Constable Burton, North allerton and Bedale. We spent New Years Eve in the Dalesmans Club in Leyburn. We didn't use the local West Burton pub as it wasn't rated or recommended in the Visitors Guide; we used the village shop for convenience but it was expensive.

The weather was very cold, very wet and very windy; but End House was very cosy, welcoming and warm. The sprigs of holly added a festive touch and the waterfall was spectacular. It was great to know that all fuel and electricity was included in the price, which we felt was reasonable for the New Year week.
