The cottage was well situated in an open and quiet area. Convenient for nearby shops and other towns

We had a really lovely time! We felt the hosts were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend it again as it was perfect for our requirements. The facilities were excellent, we had everything we needed.

Everything and more was available at this cottage. It was clean, immaculate and very warm with a homely feeling. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions in a elevated position away from busy traffic. The local pubs were welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend and we hope to return soon.

We had a great stay at Awel Eryri from the moment we arrived until we had to leave. We were welcomed with a smile and an unexpected basket of local produce from the nearby independent shops as well as the staples; bread, milk, cheese. The property itself was clean, modern and warm. The conservatory overlooking the view to the front was a real blessing and gave us somewhere to read and play games while watching the inevitable Welsh weather roll across Llanrug. We have a small Patterdale Terrier and with the property being on the outskirts of the village, there are plenty of footpaths to explore. The farmers we met were very pleasant and happy to see us using the paths (unlike at home). Just make sure you keep your best friend on a leash! We had some great days out walking and the odd beach day. There is plenty to do in this North West corner of Wales. We had several days in Caernarfon after finding a number of restaurants that catered for Coeliacs and to let the boys experience crab fishing off the harbour wall. Awel Eryri was a great base for our holiday, situated far enough back from the A4086 to feel like your removed from the hum-drum of life and although the owners were on site the balance was just right of friendly hello's and waves when passing. Next time we are back in the area we would like to return.

We had a really enjoyable 2 night stay, the house is great condition and perfectly located for Snowdonia and Llanberis. We look forward to returning again and would recommend this place to anyone.
