Devon is one of the most popular holiday destinations in England, and for good reason. The south coast offers picturesque seaside resorts, while if you venture just a short distance inland you'll find the stark beauty of Dartmoor National Park. The north of the county tends to be less visited than the south, for here the scenery is more rugged, but no less beautiful. If I had to pick an 'undiscovered gem', I'd vote for the area around Hartland, where the scenery is stunning, or perhaps the coast at Woolacombe, both in the north. In the south, try the South Hams, between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. If you fancy some outdoor activity, there are several popular long distance trails crossing Devon, including the Two Moors Way, which runs between Ivybridge and Lynmouth, joining the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Here is a listing of the Bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, and small hotels we have the pleasure to represent in Devon.
