A 'must-see' attraction if you love books, this wonderful library, housed in ultramodern buildings, is divided into public and member areas. You will need to a reader's card to gain access to the reading rooms, but the public areas, including 3 exhibition galleries, are open to the general public. On display are famous books, including an origional Gutenberg Bible, Shakespeare folios, and numerous original manuscripts of famous books. There is also a special gallery dedicated to medieval illuminated manuscripts.
